‘Friday The 13th, Part II’ Gets A Steelbook Blu-Ray Release For Its 40th Anniversary

In 1980, director Sean S Cunningham gave fans of horror a slasher that haunts them to date with his film ‘Friday the 13th.’ The film became such a hit that it had several sequels as well as reboots over the years. Not all the films that came out were appreciated as much as the others by the fans, though. At some point, people believed that to milk the cash cow left behind by the first few films, the makers have now completely taken away the horror element from the franchise leaving an untethered series of films that seem to drag Jason Vorhees’ terror to the point where fans have now become desensitized to it. However, one of the better films in the franchise, was ‘Friday the 13th,’ Part II,’ and this year it is getting a special release.

A souvenir for die-hard fans of the film series

On March 23rd, the second part of this film will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, and for this memorable event, fans can get their hands on a brand-new Steelbook Blu-Ray of ‘Friday the 13th, Part II.’ It is a limited edition that features some footage that has previously been released, but there will be the spectacular looking casing to look forward to. A value that is worth collecting, this Steelbook release will come with a front and back cover that showcases a title font covered in blood next to Vorhees’ famous axe and Amy Steel looking terrified, respectively.
