Audiences are still suffering from filmmaker John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II’s whispered terrors, but there’s no time to rest, as a third instalment in the massively successful horror trilogy is already in the works. The sequel will not be directed by Krasinski again; instead, Mud filmmaker Jeff Nichols has been tapped to take the reins.Krasinski has revealed how he will continue to be involved in the sequel and why he believes Nichols is the ideal visionary to succeed him.
When asked if he would pass this on, he stated that Jeff was the only person who sprang to mind. Because of his love for the movie Mud and Jeff’s directorial ability, he was Krasinski’s first choice for this. We’re all ecstatic because Krasinski pitched him the story, and he went ahead and created the world on his own using that jumping-off point. Jeff is currently turning in a script, which Krasinski appears to have enjoyed and can’t wait to watch him shoot.

While John Krasinski will not be behind the camera, he will be the mastermind behind the story. He was the one who came up with the concept. He’s the one who came up with the plot for the third instalment. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski will produce the third A Quiet Place, which will be executive produced by Allyson Seeger and will be a spin-off rather than a straight sequel.
Will Nichols’ return to the universe of A Quiet Place continue the Abbott family’s storey, or will a new cast of characters be introduced, leading audiences to a part of the post-apocalypse that has yet to be explored? Krasinski was tight-lipped, although he did hint at some major changes for the franchise in A Quiet Place 3.
Meanwhile, the release date for A Quiet Place 3 has already been set for March 31, 2023.
