In Painkiller, a shattered father embarks on a vigilante mission to bring down the white-collar criminals responsible for the opioid epidemic after losing his daughter to a drug overdose.
The film, which stars acting veterans, namely Michael Paré who is best known for his work in Streets of Fire and Bill Oberst Jr. who is known for the roles that he has played in Scream Queens and Criminal Minds, is now available exclusively through Bloody Disgusting’s completely free, linear channel Bloody Disgusting TV, as well as the well-known all-horror streaming service Screambox!

The film will be available exclusively on BD TV and Screambox until August 30, 2021. You can watch it on Screambox whenever you want, plus it’ll be on Bloody Disgusting TV numerous times this month. Painkiller will air on BD TV on the following days: Tuesday, August 17th, Wednesday, August 18th, Friday, August 20th, Monday, August 23rd, Wednesday, August 25th, and Thursday, August 26th.
In the movie, Bill Johnson played by Oberst Jr. has suffered the kind of loss that no parent should ever have to, that is witnessing his daughter fall victim to the opioid crisis, which has remained undiscovered and unsolved for far too longin Painkiller. Dr. Alan Rhodes played by Pare, on the other hand, has been living a luxury lifestyle thanks to the earnings he’s made from his prescription business. Because he sees that no one is being held accountable, Bill launches a campaign against those who have profited off the pain of others by selling prescription drugs. The movie follows them as they set out to unravel this network of doctors and pharmaceutical executives that continues to ruin families across the country, teaming up with a rogue cop to help him in his quest.
