Odessa A’Zion, 21, is said to be portraying the heroine in the Clive Barker horror franchise’s impending Hulu revival. Hellraiser, the dark and twisted gore-fest from the mind of Clive Barker, is one horror reboot that has recently gotten some notice. This will bring to the audience a new adaptation of Barker’s short story The Hellbound Heart.
The Hellraiser franchise has been one that has probably been rinsed way too many times than itshould have been. This is largely because of a long-ago arrangement that allowed sequel after sequel to be churned out and the original film and its first sequel were almost lost. Very few people knew or cared about Hellraiser: Judgment when it was released in 2018. While Barker has talked about a reboot of the brand since 2006, it has only been in the last several years that things have started to move forward, both in terms of a film and a TV series.

According to reports, Odessa A’Zion will play Riley, the female heroine in the upcoming film, who will certainly face the mystical puzzle box and its Cenobite overlords. The actress is relatively new to the industry, with her most notable appearances being in CBS’s Fam and Netflix’s Grand Army, so the opportunity to work on a critically acclaimed film like Hellraiser is a game changer for an up-and-coming star.
The Hellraiser revival still has a long way to go, and with no more casting news and multiple delays, fans are beginning to question if it will ever see the light of day. With the TV adaptation also appearing to be progressing, it appears that we will be seeing a lot more of Pinhead and his buddies in the near future.
