Con Artist Games and Armor Games Studios have announced that The Last Stand: Aftermath will be released on PC via Steam in Q4 2021, as well as on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Merge Games will release a physical version of the game for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 4 platforms.
In case you missed it, The Last Stand: Aftermath is based on the The Last Stand series, which takes place during a horrific zombie apocalypse. Players control one of a number of survivors who have been locked down during a deadly outbreak in Aftermath. Each survivor, however, has been infected and must leave their compound to make the most of the time they have left. Before they succumb, they must gather provisions for those they will be leaving behind and search for the truth about the zombie virus.

In the game, because hordes of zombies still prowl the streets and you aren’t superhuman, you’ll need to stay on your toes. In fact, you’re one of the infected, and you’ll die eventually, whether it’s from the hostile undead or the virus that’s ravaging your body. When that happens, you’ll restart the game as a new survivor, complete with perks and improvements acquired based on your previous progress, and try again.The game comes with a mature content warning so expect lots of violence and gore.
Players will assume control of another survivor as each survivor falls, benefiting from the progress gained by their predecessors.
Overhead Zombie Shooter ‘The Last Stand: Aftermath’ will be released for the Xbox Series, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year.
With the current horror renaissance, multiple horror movies and games are taking advantage of this resurgence which is great for us horror fans. The more, the merrier.
