The Munsters Movie Will Be Filmed In Budapest?! – Rob Zombie Is Out Location Hunting

Rob Zombie is presently scouting locations for his next film adaption of the classic sitcom The Munsters in Budapest. Zombie confirmed this month that the series would be his next film endeavour. Now that he’s free to discuss about the film, the director has begun publishing updates on his Instagram account to keep fans up to date on the status of The Munsters revival.

Zombie announced last week that he would be travelling to Hungary to begin site hunting for The Munsters. This is in line with reports that the film will be shot in Budapest. While he hasn’t divulged any specific locations that he will use in the film, Zombie has been sharing photos of some of the amazing sights he’s encountered.

One of the photos shows a strange statue he came upon while simply walking around in Budapest. Another image shows a bust of horror star Bela Lugosi, which the director simply had to see. He remarked that the location was incredible and the settings were ideal.

Zombie also shared a short video clip of a massive edifice that looks like a castle. It’s unclear whether or not this will be a real site in the film, but it appears that it’s being considered. In any case, it gives us a sense of the look Zombie is going for with its new version of The Munsters.

According to speculations, The Munsters: A Rob Zombie Film will be released on Peacock, as a streaming service. There hasn’t been any word on when it will be released. Though Zombie has yet to announce any cast members, previous sources have stated that the major cast will feature Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Bridges, and others. Daniel Phillips, Dan Roebuck, Richard Brake, and Jorge Garcia are among the cast members.

Butch Patrick, the former child star who played Eddie Munster on the original programme, paid Zombie a visit before he left the country to help him celebrate the news of the reboot.
