One of the most iconic movie franchises that began in 1999 is titled ‘The Matrix.’ This sci-fi movie gave people a reason to confirm their fears of computers and worry whether technology will, defeat humanity someday. ‘The Matrix’ was directed by Lana and Lily Wachowski and has had two sequels over the years with another one on its way. The film tells the story of Thomas Anderson, a.k.a Neo a.k.a The One, who fights off the bad guys of the film (computers!) that have used a system called The Matrix to construct a false reality. All the film instalments have been directed by the Wachowski sisters. The upcoming fourth installment is set to release this year, but no information is available regarding the film. However, fans believe that there has been an accidental leak by one of the crew members, revealing the title of this movie.
How fans caught the name
One of the hairstylists working on set, named Shunika Terry, recently took to Instagram to show a picture of a gift that she received from the team along with a note, not realising that said note contains the name of the upcoming film. Terry deleted the post almost immediately, but fans were quickly caught the title ‘Matrix Resurrection.’ Although official sources have not yet confirmed much, but if this is true then it might just make sense for the film to be named so considering how the two main characters of the storyline, Neo and Trinity, died in ‘The Matrix Revolutions’ and are now going to return in the new film.

What WB has to say about these rumours
Warner Bros. has come forward to clear up some things and let people know that no official title was picked out for the film yet. As fans who have been keeping up with news about this upcoming film know, the makers had been using ‘Project Ice Cream’ as the official working title during filming and so it is quite possible that this was, after all, a big misunderstanding and that nobody knows what the fourth instalment will be named, including the cast and crew. Apart from Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss returning as Neo and Trinity respectively, the film will also cast Priyanka Chopra Jonas (‘Baywatch,’ 2017), Jeda Pinkett Smith (‘Girls Trip,’ 2017) and Neil Patrick Harris (‘Gone Girl,’ 2014).
