Taiwanese Zombie Horror The Sadness Is Full Of Carnage, And It Arrives At The European Film Festival Soon

Loyal fans of horror are no strangers to Taiwanese films, given how they include gems like The Bridge Curse and The Heirloom. Now, a brand-new film titled The Sadness will be coming to the European Film Market’s virtual fest. The film is directed by Rob Jabbaz, who has previously worked on films such as Great Daena: A Fateful Encounter and Fiendish Funnies. The Sadness is a sci-fi horror film that features zombies and plenty of body horror for those with a strong stomach. With a running time of ninety-nine minutes, this film was released in January this year and will be premiering at the film festival this week.

    The storyline and hard-to-watch visuals

The trailer does not fall short of any bloodshed and gore, and it would be advisable to skip the film altogether if one is not sure they will be able to handle it. The plotline of the film revolves around a young couple who get separated at the beginning of the movie due to some work and must then find their way back to each other alive, given how the entire world seems to be infected with a virus, turning them into zombies, but more violent and sinister than the regular ones. This is because it is not just any virus, and it makes people give in to their darkest impulses. Although this storyline is not all that clear from the trailer, we do get our fair share of a glimpse into what this virus is making people do with some using blunt weapons to bash someone’s head in, some simply using their mouth like animals to tear of the flesh off someone’s body and some going the distance to make sure they torture their victims.
