New Horror Movie – The Nest Will Send Shivers Down Your Spine

This summer, 4DigitalMedia has another horror film coming out just for you. Do you recall the film, Ted? It’s about a child and a supernatural teddy bear with a filthy mouth. What if you converted that amusing bear into a nasty vessel for all sorts of evil and parasitic creatures? That’s what The Nest is about, or at least that’s what we can deduce from the new teaser. The Nest will premiere on Netflix this year and will be available on home video on July 20th.

The film tells the story of a little girl called Meg. When Meg and her mother Beth go to a yard sale, Beth purchases a lovely plush bear for her young daughter, hoping it will assist with Meg’s separation anxiety. Meg rapidly develops connected to the bear, chatting to it and carrying it around with her everywhere she goes, as children do. Beth soon notices, however, that the bear is conversing with Meg and even dictating and influencing her actions.

Things take a turn for the worse as Meg develops hoarding behaviours and appears to be infested by a parasitic organism. Soon, it’s evident that this yard sale toy is far more terrifying and wicked than anyone could have anticipated.

In the trailer, he girl and the bear became buddies right away. Until the parents discover their daughter crying behind a tree, terrified by the bear. Meg begins to develop feelings for not only her mother, but also the bear. Quick scenes show the bear moving and ant/cockroach cricket insects crawling out of an oozing bubble. These entities have the girl under their influence and are forcing her to do things she doesn’t want to do like assaulting her father.

The creepy crawlies do give us the heebie-jeebies but we are definitely going to tune in for this one! Make sure to watch the trailer.
