There are new methods to play in addition to the new level. A new customisable and moddable way to enjoy Jupiter is Trials Mode. It is a way to enjoy Jupiter Hell in your own way requires players to run, create their own scenario, and have their own funeral. Arena Mode requires players to defend against wave-based enemy attacks, with faster levelling and gear acquisition between waves.

There’s also Endless Mode, which lets players wander through completely randomised levels with no episodes, branches, or anything else to see how far they can go. The story, branching regions, and unique stages are all removed in Classic Mode, leaving you with nothing but cathartic ripping and tearing through demonic hordes.
