The story
Friday the 13th was directed by Sean S. Cunningham and written by Victor Miller. The film took audiences to Camp Crystal, which had been locked for years after the demise of a kid but was ready to resurrect. Though, when the new crowd of therapists reached, they were cruelly murdered one by one, and even though they knew of the tale of Jason Voorhees, the distorted kid who sank at the lake, the murderer turned out to be his mother, Pamela Voorhees. Succeeding Pamela’s death, Jason took over as the antihero of the rest of the Friday of 13th films, but it wasn’t until the third film that he got his now-iconic complete look with the mask.

Jason wears hockey all the time in the film. Jason was born with hydrocephalus and psychologicalincapacities. To hide his distorted face, he shielded it all the time before accepting the hockey mask he’s renowned for now. On Friday the 13th, Part 2, now as the primary opponent, Jason wore a burlap bag with only one eyehole cut out.In Part III, he lastly got his hands on a hockey mask that became his loyal supporter. While it’s an original idea to have a serial killer trying a hockey mask, it truly happened by sheerchance, even though Jason’s hockey mask has altered through the years, with alteredextents or strategies in almost every film in the Friday the 13th franchise.
